“ Probably the best katsu I've had in NYC. It's quite popular, so it can take a while to get a table at peak dining times and they do seem quite unorganized. Berkshire pork katsu curry set A ($28) - it's definitely more worth it for set A (comes with potato salad, meat miso soup, and also the salad) for just a few dollars more. Berkshire pork is soo tender and juicy. Fry is well seasoned and crisp. ”
“ Came here with a group of 6 on a Sunday evening and waited about 15 minutes to be sat. I got the Berkshire katsu curry. I thought the katsu was thick, juicy, and generous and the curry was hearty. Reasonable price for the quality and portion of food. ”
“ Very high quality even though it's a simple meal. It does not take reservations and there will be a line during lunch. My advice is to get there early, plain and simple. Also, the smaller the party, the more likely you'll get seated on a timely manner. I wouldn't go more than a table for 2, even sit at the bar. This is not a place you go on a whim - you plan for it. I got the katsu and sushi combo and both were great. The space is what you would typically expect, nothing fancy but clean. They understand it's lunch so it's a quick service. Enjoy! ”
“ It's a great spot whether you're dining solo or with a small group. The food is amazing--perfectly juicy on the inside with a crispy, golden exterior. My favorites are the Berkshire Pork Loin Katsu, which has thicker cuts and is incredibly flavorful, and the Pork Tender-Loin (Hire Katsu), with smaller, tender pieces that melt in your mouth. The lively atmosphere adds to the experience, though it can get a bit loud at times. Be prepared to wait in line to get seated, and it can be a bit hard to get the servers' attention when it's busy, but the food definitely makes it worth it. If you're craving delicious katsu, Katsu-Hama is still a solid choice! ”
“ Came with my daughter during lunch time and was able to get seated right away at the bar area. The food was so good, lunch specials were still on the pricey side but it was tasty. The bathroom was so tiny and not the cleanest so try to use the restroom before coming or after at another location. ”
